Now I know everyone and their dog has this, but I finally went in and bought the Naked Basics palette. I found out a few weeks ago that my Naked 2 palette is actually a fake (silly me trying to save some pennies bought it on Ebay), and boy can you tell the difference! I can't believe how pigmented 'crave' is compared to 'blackout' in the fake one.
I know some people will think 'it serves you right' for buying makeup from Ebay, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who's bought into a scam before, the items are usually advertised as being spares, or having marks on the packaging, and unfortunately I was naive enough to buy into it..lesson learnt!
This however is the real deal:
I am thoroughly impressed so far, although I do have to say one thing: It doesn't smell very nice! I don't think this really matters with eyeshadow, but if you use the little mirror attached, it really hits you.
I'll probably make some 'looks' posts soon, so watch out!
YES - the smell! I was wondering if it was just mine or if anyone else had the same problem! It's so odd - but an awesome palette! :)

ReplyDeleteOh good I thought the smell was bad and it was just me, I got paranoid thinking it wasn't real, did some research. To then finding out my Naked 2 was a fake, came in the plastic cover with the lip gloss but the palette was switched. Got mine off Listia and the person never said it wasn't genuine... It is hard typing on my phone, took me like an hour to type this lol
